Counseling

"Women who go to counseling to talk about their experience about sexual assault / abuse cope with it much better and with fewer long lasting effects than those women who do not go for help."

Talking to someone about your experience with sexual assault is very important. If you do not talk about your feelings, and hope instead just to forget about what happened, these feelings will resurface throughout your life. If you have kept silent for months or years, and are still bothered by something that happened in your past, you could benefit from calling our 24 hour Crisis Line or come to our office and meet with the Sexual Assault Counselor.

The Sexual Assault Counselor is trained to help you heal from Sexual Assault / Abuse. We help Clients to make the transition from a victim to a Survivor. We offer individual counseling. The individual counseling is available for children, teenagers, adults and elders. Both men and women are welcome to seek our services. You don't have to worry about money because these services are free.

The Sexual Assault Program also offers group counseling. AMAC (Adults Molested as Children) is the name of this self-help group. This group is for adult women only. This program runs for an eight week period, meeting once a week.
